Trust in the Lord with all your heart…He will direct your path!

Tonight, for some reason this was the scripture that came to my mind, so I thought I’d share it as scripture for this week.

Have you ever trust someone with all your heart before? What does to trust mean? If you look at the verse Proverbs 3:5, I mean you will definitely see the key words there for example ‘trust’,’ heart’, ‘direct’ and ‘your paths’. I mean “trust in the Lord” is the obvious part of this passage. But, what does that mean? You see, trusting in the Lord is not just drifting heedlessly with the tide. It is not closing your eyes to the very fact or reality.  Trusting in the Lord is active and it should include your heart. In the Bible, the heart often represents the will of a person. According to the Bible, the heart is deceitful, which means that you should be wary of trusting what your heart tells you. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 that the “heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure.” From this we understand that it is our responsibility to keep or guard our own heart diligently. Listen to the wise man of old: “Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Prov. 4: 23).  In general, when the scripture talks about heart is not the physical, blood-pumping organ found in our chest. The Bible heart involved the mind, will, emotions, and conscience of man. God’s acceptance of man is based on man’s heart (Prov. 3: 5 ff.).

Having said that, trust implies so many things. It implies your obedience, total surrender, and patience. It implies working with God to see the results. It is active not passive. To trust in the Lord also includes “all” our heart and “all our ways.” My friends, it is not easy to trust in the Lord in with “all” your hearts. In most cases it is a challenging part to trust him with “all.” By nature we human want to be in control of everything. We all want to BE IN CONTROL! When we try to be in control we don’t even enjoy. This is true in any relationships including the relationship we have with God.

Sometimes we don’t even have a faith and trust that we have in our seats. When we sit in a chair we sit by faith that the chair will hold us up. We fly in airplanes even though we don’t understand how the whole thing functions, even we don’t know the pilot, but we trust that everything will be okay.
You see God wants us to trust him just like that and acknowledge him in all your ways. As someone said once, “Trust is the practical out working of faith: it is when we trust God that we show that our faith in Him is real.”

God wants us to trust him completely that means COMPLETELY in all the things. We need to trust him with our career, marriage, health, family, and everything. We need to trust him with our whole hearts and put our whole lives in his hands. Let’s stop all the madness and the craziness right now. Let’s stop thinking we know how to run our lives much better than the one who created us. If you want to see the result just trust him with all your heart. When you trust him with all your heart, he will make your paths straight. As you go through life keep on looking on God not the obstacles on your way. It is God’s job to remove them and makes your way straight.

Now, no matter what you want in your life, God has a way for it. In order to get on it, you have to trust in him and not to rely on your own understanding. You need to seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take. Amen!

God bless you all!
